“May we ask your opinion?” : How it works

Rains County Leader Staff

Have you read stories in the Rains County Leader regarding different issues and wanted to voice comments, concerns or possible solutions? The Leader is now using a new site, followtheleader.today, to allow you to do just that. It is a blog/forum that will inform readers of various news, provide photo galleries of different events and will create a place for readers to interact with other members of the community.

Followtheleader.today is also a way for the newspaper to keep in touch with our community. As a small business, we are unable to be everywhere and we want Rains County residents to be our eyes and ears when we are not available.

Those who access the site will be able to post photos and comment on different forums. If you have ideas for stories, you can email our staff and reporters through the site.

The first question we have for readers is “What is the condition of the county roads?” and with that, “Do you have a solution or ideas on how to fix any problems with county roads?”

Kudo’s to the Leader, this is a !GREAT IDEA! and a great legacy for Mrs. Hill’s forward thinking.
I am not a big follower of social media but having a place where the citizens of Rains County can voice their opinions is a step forward in the world of instant communication. I plan on including “followtheleader” as part of my daily routine. Followtheleader provides a venue for gauging public opinion and the strength of said opinion. I plan on using this forum as a means of communicating with not only the citizens of Precinct 4 who elected me but also the rest of Rains County who are affected by the Commissioner’s Court decisions.

  3. I agree with Pam. Awesome idea. Sure hope it helps the county to address problems, if they will read & listen to the ideas of the people who live here. Thank you
